Miami Heat Are Getting a GTA 6 Makeover Ahead of Launch

GTA 6 is taking over Miami in more ways than just the game itself.

The Miami Heat have announced that they will wear special GTA 6 inspired jerseys when they face the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, just one day before GTA 6 officially launches. The game will also feature a completely new court design inspired by Vice City.

The matchup will take place at the Kaseya Center, which has already started getting the Vice City treatment. The arena recently received huge “Vice City” signs as part of Rockstar’s marketing campaign. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN that night.

The Heat are keeping most of the details for later, with the jerseys and court design expected to be revealed closer to the event. The team has also teased special activities and other unique experiences for fans attending the game.

A Vice City themed merchandise collection is already available, featuring items inspired by GTA 6 and Miami.

The game itself launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, making this event one of Rockstar’s biggest promotional pushes ahead of release.

The November 18 game will also be interesting for NBA fans, as Giannis Antetokounmpo will be facing the Bucks after spending his entire NBA career with Milwaukee until this season.

Rockstar has been heavily promoting GTA 6 across Miami, with the campaign becoming visible around the city. Some local officials have also raised concerns about the scale of the promotion.

With GTA 6 just one day away from release at that point, the Heat game could end up feeling more like a real life Vice City event than a normal NBA game.
